Always full of exciting announcements, this year has been no different, with Cisco unveiling its vision for Connected Intelligence and new enhancements to Webex Contact Centre. Agentic Capabilities for Next-Generation Collaboration

Cisco unveiled Connected Intelligence, introducing AI agents, a new NVIDIA-powered RoomOS 26, and deep integrations with Microsoft, Amazon, Salesforce, and Zoom to transform how people, AI, and IT collaborate securely.

Connected Intelligence

What is it: Cisco’s vision where humans and AI agents work together on secure Cisco platforms.
What it means: Boosts productivity by blending human collaboration with AI automation.
When it’s coming: Announced September 2025, rolling out progressively with new agents and RoomOS 26 from Q4 CY25

Cisco AI Assistant Agents

What is it: A suite of AI agents automating tasks like notes, actions, polls, scheduling, and call handling.

What is it: Webex AI Assistant integrates with Amazon Q index, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Salesforce, and Jira.
What it means: Work seamlessly across enterprise platforms without leaving Webex.

    • Amazon Q index, Microsoft 365 Copilot – starting Q4 CY25
    • Salesforce, Jira tasks – GA Q1 CY26

RoomOS 26 (Powered by NVIDIA)

What is it: New OS for Cisco devices, adding AI-driven collaboration features.
What it means: Smarter meetings, real-time transcription, adaptive views, noise zoning, and digital twin workspaces for IT.

Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP)

What is it: Microsoft Teams Rooms security and management integrated with Cisco devices.

AI-Powered Webex Contact Centre Solutions and Industry Integrations

Cisco announced AI-powered enhancements to Webex Contact Centre, including unified AI Quality Management, advanced AI Agent and Assistant capabilities and deeper Salesforce/AWS/Epic integrations.

Webex AI Quality Management (QM)

What is it: A new AI-powered tool that unifies quality management across both human and AI agents.
What it means: Supervisors gain real-time insights, AI-assisted scoring, and coaching to enhance performance and mitigate risks associated with AI adoption.
When it’s coming: Q1 2026

Webex AI Agent and AI Assistant for Contact Centre

What is it: AI agents for autonomous resolutions and Cisco AI Assistant for real-time transcription, summaries, and suggested responses.
What it means: Faster resolutions, more efficient agents, and improved customer experiences.
When it’s coming:

    • Cisco AI Assistant – GA early 2025, with ongoing feature updates in CY25
    • Webex AI Agent – GA now, multi-agent collaboration and MCP/A2A support coming Q1 2026
    • Beta 50+ language support – Q4 2025

Momentum Design System

What is it: Modernised UI in Webex Contact Centre for agents and supervisors.
What it means: Increases focus, efficiency, and usability across customer interactions.
When it’s coming: Available now

Ecosystem Integrations

What is it: Expanded integrations with Salesforce, AWS (Amazon Lex), and Epic Systems.
What it means: Unified workflows across CRM, cloud platforms, and healthcare systems for seamless customer journeys.
When it’s coming:

    • Salesforce BYO CCaaS integration – Early access now, GA Q1 2026
    • Amazon Lex integration – Available now

Global Expansion (India and Saudi Arabia)

What is it: Webex Contact Centre and Calling is expanding to new regions with local data centres.
What it means: Improves compliance, latency, and reliability for regional and global organisations.
When it’s coming:

    • India (Mumbai and Chennai data centres plus Contact Centre launch) – Q2 2026
    • Saudi Arabia expansion – Roadmap post-2026
