Live Updates From Cisco Live US!

Every year, the Natilik team covers Cisco Live US to hear all the latest and greatest updates, with this year’s being live in San Diego. Stay tuned to hear all the hot topics, key insights and major updates straight from our teams on the ground at the conference this year!

Security for the Agentic AI Era

Cisco is reshaping enterprise security for the AI era by deeply integrating zero‑trust principles and visibility across its network infrastructure.

In San Diego, Cisco announced key innovations include the next‑gen Hybrid Mesh Firewall portfolio (featuring new 6100 and 200 Series firewalls), expanded enforcement via Catalyst SD‑WAN, Hypershield switches, and intent‑based policy control across multi‑vendor environments – and the Universal Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) platform, which offers identity‑driven, passwordless access for users, devices and even AI agents.

Cisco is also enhancing integrations with Splunk to streamline threat detection, enrich investigation workflows, and automate response tasks. These efforts aim to secure agentic AI workloads and emerging attack surfaces by fusing security into the very fabric of the network.

From Hyperscale to Enterprise - Powering AI Ready Data Centres

Cisco is leading the charge in building AI‑ready data centres, spanning hyperscale environments to enterprise operations. At Cisco Live on June 10, 2025, the company announced new infrastructure solutions designed for the AI era – including expanded AI PODs for flexible training and fine‑tuning, Unified Fabric Experience via the Nexus platform, and centralised control using the upcoming Nexus Dashboard release.

In collaboration with NVIDIA, Cisco showcased the first technical integration of its G200‑series switches with NVIDIA Spectrum‑X Ethernet networking built on Cisco Silicon One, enabling high‑bandwidth, ultra‑low‑latency connectivity essential for AI workloads. Supplementing network performance, Cisco introduced Intelligent Packet Flow, delivering real‑time telemetry and congestion‑aware traffic steering for proactive issue detection across GPUs and AI fabrics.

To ensure security and scalability, Cisco is bringing validated AI‑secure infrastructure to market. This includes AI Defences like Hypershield to protect agent‑driven workflows using NVIDIA‑optimised open models, as well as cost‑effective 400G bidirectional optics that enable existing data centres to scale bandwidth without rewiring.
