The client is a leading international insurance provider with over 3,000 employees across 30 sites globally. With a long -standing history of partnering with the client, Natilik is proud to be its key partner for enterprise networking, wireless and telephony services.

Challenge

The client was embarking on a network refresh project, replacing their end-of-life (EOL) Cisco hardware across 30 of their sites globally with a new Out-of-Band (OOB) hardware solution.

As the client didn’t have local IT resources at every site, it was imperative that they work with a trusted partner who has the capability and experience required to manage the end-to-end design, deployment and transition of their new solution.

With a big focus on sustainability and ESG, the client wanted to ensure that all legacy kit was decommissioned in a secure and sustainable way.

Solution

Natilik delivered a comprehensive OOB solution, based on Cisco hardware, across all 30 sites. All replacement switches were onboarded into Cisco Catalyst Center for assurance and were configured to match the setup of the existing hardware on site.

As a multi-accredited Cisco Gold Partner, Natilik leveraged its experience and global reach to procure the Cisco hardware in-country via Cisco’s GPN programme, ensuring the client wasn’t subject to any additional customs, taxes or delivery delays.

To ensure the client’s ESG goals were met, Natilik worked alongside KOcycle, Natilik’s trusted ADISA 8.0 certified ITAD partner to ensure all legacy assets across every site were securely disposed and sustainably destroyed. All recycling was completed in line with local environmental and regulatory legislation such as WEEE and R2v3. With security being of paramount importance to the client, detailed asset tracking from the point of collection and certifications of destruction were provided for all decommissioned assets.

Outcome

The client achieved a smooth, coordinated network refresh across all 30 sites, without needing internal teams on the ground. With Natilik managing the end-to-end project, coordinating resources and overseeing the arrival, configuration and implementation of the new kit as well as the decommissioning of the legacy assets, the client was free to focus on BAU and other business-critical projects.

All legacy equipment was responsibly disposed of, supporting the client’s sustainability commitments and ESG goals. Detailed reports and certificates for data destruction and asset disposition were shared, providing the client with the peace of mind that its EOL equipment was securely decommissioned, with no risk to the business.

The client was able to leverage Natilik’s Cisco Gold Partner and global expertise to procure all Cisco hardware in country via Cisco’s GPN programme. This allowed the client to avoid any additional customs, taxes or delivery delays, and ensured the project was both economically and operationally efficient.
