The manufacturing and supply of IT goods is one of the biggest contributors to the environmental footprint of technology. There’s no escaping the fact that extracting the raw materials needed to produce new hardware has a devastating environmental impact. Many of the vendors Natilik partners with, such as Cisco and Pure Storage, work with recycled or refurbished materials or build sustainability into their supply chain to reduce the impact of producing new technology. In addition, Cisco has its takeback and reuse program to help offer businesses a more environmentally conscious method of disposal. Natilik’s sustainability journey
At Natilik, we’re proud of our conservation commitment. Our dedication to sustainability runs through everything we do and was a key driver on our journey to being B Corp certified. As our business expands, so does its impact on the environment, so we’re committed to conducting ourselves in a sustainable manner.
That does not just apply to the IT we use but to all facets of our business, which is why our Sustainability team have been hard at work lessening the environmental impact of all our day-to-day operations, supporting the company by measuring and reducing our Corporate Carbon Footprint, setting ambitious climate commitments to become Net Zero and holding us accountable through genuine, science-based targets. Reduced Carbon Footprint
We measure our Corporate Carbon Footprint with Climate Partner, and what we can’t reduce from our scope 1 and 2 emissions, we offset through partners such as Ecologi. In 2022 Natilik became a carbon-neutral business, offsetting its scope 1 and 2 CO2 emissions globally.
Net Zero Goals
We have recently joined the climate action group Tech Zero and are setting our commitments. Once set, we will focus on establishing rigorous measurement, board accountability, and transparency on our journey to Net Zero.
Science-Based Targets
Our commitments are genuine, science-based targets and as such Natilik reports annually on our progress, with support from Tech Zero. All these initiatives support our current B Corps accreditation and will keep Natilik’s commitment to making the world a better place through measurable targets.
